Driving in Southern California can be very stressful. I find that not many people know how to merge onto the freeways here. Being from the Bay Area – though we do not always use our turn signals – I do know that Bay Area drivers tend to drive a little more on the defensive side than here in Southern California. Which, truth be told, is not the best way of driving.
ABC7 News reports that there was a crash on the 101 Freeway in North Hollywood, prompting an hourlong closure of serval of the westbound lanes. Authorities reported that one person was killed and another was injured in the accident. The investigation is still underway, as CHP are still unclear as to how or what caused the accident. Lanes on WB 101 were reopened approximately three hours after the accident occurred.
Driving in the dark, early hours of the morning can be a challenge this time of year – as we are starting to see more and more fog, which makes visibility more difficult. Staying safe on the road is imperative, always. Our condolences go out to the family and friends of the deceased.
