Air Pollution Prompts No-Burn Order for Laguna Niguel

The South Coast Air Quality Management District has ordered a “no-burn” order for all of South Orange County on Tuesday. This means that the use of indoor fireplaces and outdoor wood burning will be prohibited due to pollution concerns. Another reason for the no-burn order is due to the fact that fine particles in wood smoke can penetrate the lungs and cause problems for those who suffer from asthma or other respiratory disorders.

With the weather changing daily from dry to a little wet, it is best to know what we can do to make sure that unnecessary fires or illnesses are prevented.
